1. Legislative Purpose & Institutional Governance
The DPGNotes Regulations & Suspension Act (DRASA) constitutes the binding statutory disciplinary charter of DPGNotes and Akshat Network Hub. As an open collaborative academic ecosystem serving thousands of students across engineering, management, computer applications, and vocational degree programs, the platform requires rigorous, impartial standards to safeguard academic integrity, protect original student works, prevent resource hoarding, and defeat cyber exploitation.
DRASA applies universally and without exception to all individuals accessing our services, including unregistered guest users, registered student contributors, faculty reviewers, and community moderators.
Proactive Defense
Automated rate-limiting and cryptographic integrity checks detecting unauthorized scripting and scrapers.
5-Tier Escalation
Structured, proportional disciplinary measures ranging from automated advisories to permanent IP termination.
Due Process & Natural Justice
Auditable investigation records, clear notice of charges, and a guaranteed right of appeal before independent review.
2. The Comprehensive Five-Tier Violation Hierarchy
Under DRASA, infractions are classified according to a five-tier hierarchy calibrated by degree of malice, impact on platform performance, and violation of academic ethics:
| Violation Tier | Infraction Scope | Operational Sanction | Rehabilitation Window |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 1: Administrative & Formatting | Improper course code tagging, malformed metadata, duplicate submission attempts, or minor upload defects. | Automated warning flag; resource metadata corrected by moderators. | Immediate clearance upon advisory acknowledgment. |
| Tier 2: Content Quality & Citation Deficits | Uploading unreadable scans, plagiarized slide summaries without source attribution, or misleading course titles. | Temporary document unpublishing; 7-day restriction on new uploads. | 7 days; mandatory resubmission of corrected attribution. |
| Tier 3: Quota Manipulation & Token Fraud | Simulating ad impressions, deploying headless bots to bypass cover page limits, or forging referral tokens. | 14-day token generation freeze; forfeiture of contributor badges; strict CAPTCHA enforcement. | 14 days; written undertaking via Support Portal. |
| Tier 4: Copyright Piracy & Academic Fraud | Publishing commercial scanned textbooks, selling university examination question papers, or uploading confidential institutional files. | Permanent deletion of infringing materials; 30 to 90-day account suspension; forfeiture of all platform karma. | 30–90 days subject to formal copyright dispute resolution. |
| Tier 5: Cyber Security Violations & Malice | Cross-site scripting (XSS), SQL/NoSQL payload injection, DDoS assaults, database exfiltration, or credential credential stuffing. | Immediate permanent account termination; cryptographic CIDR network IP ban; referral to cyber law enforcement. | Permanent; non-appealable except in cases of verified identity spoofing. |
3. Contributor Governance & Academic Integrity Code
Every student contributor uploading revision guides, laboratory manuals, or lecture summaries covenants to observe the Academic Integrity Code:
- Originality & Attribution: Uploads must represent original student work or properly credited open-access academic commentary under Creative Commons licensing.
- Prohibition of Commercial Monetization: No user may attempt to sell, paywall, or lock educational content hosted on DPGNotes behind third-party pay gates or micro-transaction shorteners.
- Safe File Standards: All uploaded files must be pure PDF, DOCX, or text documents free of macro-scripts, embedded executables, or obfuscated hyperlinks.
4. Automated Telemetry, Abuse Detection & Security Audits
To enforce DRASA systematically without bias, DPGNotes employs client-side and edge-level telemetry monitors:
- Rate-Limiting Safeguards: Cover page generation endpoints and search APIs enforce automated rate caps (e.g., 1 daily generation for guests, 3 daily generations for contributors). Rapid automated bursts trigger immediate temporary cool-downs.
- Integrity Fingerprinting: Hash checks and anomaly detection scripts identify automated token restoration scripts and headless browser bots.
- Immutable Audit Logs: Security telemetry records timestamped request headers, token hashes, and anonymized IP subnets for 90 days to support grievance adjudication.
5. Investigation Protocols & Natural Justice Safeguards
DPGNotes firmly rejects arbitrary account termination. Except in urgent Tier 5 cyber emergencies requiring immediate network shielding, our disciplinary enforcement adheres to the principles of natural justice:
- Notice of Infraction: The accused account receives an electronic notification articulating the specific policy clause violated, timestamp of the detected behavior, and applicable tier.
- Preservation of Contributor Data: Legitimate academic notes unconnected to the violation remain secured during the investigative period.
- Expedited Deliberation: Contributor cases are adjudicated by the Platform Review Desk within five (5) business days.
6. Account Suspension Categories
Sanctions imposed under DRASA are strictly proportional to the verified tier:
- Soft Cool-Down: A short-term, 24-hour rate limit on generation tools or download bandwidth triggered by high request frequency.
- Contributor Probation: Account retains full reading and download rights but loses note uploading privileges for 7 to 30 days.
- Full Suspension: Total denial of login authentication, dashboard tools, and generation features.
- Permanent Blacklist: Irreversible account deletion and firewall-level rejection of associated network identifiers.
7. Formal Appeals & Reinstatement Procedure
Any participant whose privileges have been restricted or suspended under DRASA holds the statutory right to submit an appeal within fifteen (15) calendar days of the disciplinary notice. Appeals are handled by an independent Grievance Review Officer who was not involved in the initial automated flag:
- Online Ticket Submission: File an appeal via our dedicated Support & Appeal Portal (or the suspension-specific desk at Suspension Support Desk).
- Required Documentation: Appeals must state the registered User ID or Contributor UID, date of sanction, explanation of circumstances, and any relevant academic counter-evidence.
- Decision Turnaround: The Review Officer issues a final, written determination within ten (10) business days. Successful appeals result in immediate restoration of account privileges and expungement of disciplinary points.
8. Statutory Interplay with Indian Cyber Law
Nothing within DRASA limits the right of DPGNotes and Akshat Network Hub to pursue formal legal remedies under the laws of the Republic of India. In cases involving Tier 5 cyber attacks, extortion, unauthorized database penetration, or deliberate data sabotage, DPGNotes reserves the express right to initiate criminal complaints under Sections 43, 66, and 70 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and corresponding provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) with the Cyber Crime Police Cell, Gurugram, Haryana.
